Lobster Fest!!

I became very close with two special neighbors after we experienced Hurricane Sandy, 29 October, 2012. That was when we got together for a feast. We were having a Hurricane party celebrating, Sandy seemed to be bringing only a little rain, but it ended up bringing record setting floods. Our dinner ended with a blackout that lasted 3 weeks because the flood blew the local power grid. We first thought it was an alien attack since the the sky turned a crazy fluorescent blue and green. Then the water rose up from the sewers flooding our streets, cars and then into our lower levels. There was a full moon that night and the waters rose from high tide several feet higher than normal. It was a natural disaster and we experienced it together. Luckily we  got to finish eating before the craziness started.

Lobster makes a feast:

Lobsters are Farmed at Jordan's Lobster Farm. When eating at the restaraunt I only order 1 1/4lb but when taking out I can affiord 2 lbs. Jordans will steam, cut and clean them. 

We brought sides ;

The drink we started with was made by combining proseco, vodka, gin pineapple juice and sugar ... Tastes great packs a punch.. Make it by the pitcher.

The salad was topped with farm fresh tomatoes. 

Flatbread covered with sautéed onions and peppers can be toasted in the BBQ and sliced with a pizza cutter.

Corn boiled, cut in half, brushed w/ butter and served with yellow corn forks🌽

Have big plastic plates on each place for the size of the lobster. Smaller plate for salad, corn and bread. Also, lobster crackers!

Dessert is best finger food :

Rainbow cookies and Italian cookies with chocolate.
