Mother’s Day 24 Glazed Orchard Fruit Galetts

Truth be told my mother's day was celebrated,  like all brunch holidays, with bagels, cream cheese and lox. I would serve it with coffee and mimosas. This Mother's Day I figured that I would try this Hello Fresh recipe because I seem to have apples that are hanging around and I'm always looking for ways to use them in easy desserts. Since, Mark picked up the traditional breakfast at the local bagel place I don't have anything to cook but this dessert.

Ingredients:

2 pears

2 apples

1 lemon

2 TBSP brown Sugar

1 TSP nutmeg

3/4 cup sour cream

2 TBSP maple syrup

2TBS apricot jam

Directions:

*preheat oven to 375

*Peel, half, core, and slice the apples and pears.

*Heat 2 TBSP butter in large pan over medium heat. Add pear, apple brown sugar cinnamon and 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg cook stirring until glazed and slightly softened. 5-7minutes. Add water if burning, then remove from heat and add juice from half the lemon. Place in a bowl to cool in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.

* Mix sour cream with maple syrup, save in refrigerator to place on top before serving.

*Make the glaze by combining apricot jam and 1 TGSP water in microwave for 30 seconds.

* Unroll the pie crusts onto parchment paper and place cooled fruit in an even layer in the3 centers of each pie crust. Leaving a 1 1/2 inch empty border around the edges. Using your fingers fold edges in pleats as you go. The look is rustic. Brush the edges with one beaten egg and 2TBSP water for a stunning glossy crust.

*Bake for 40 minutes checking after 20 to check for even baking.* Once done brush with apricot glaze and serve with maple cream.
