Spicy and Savory Roasted Butternut Squash Soup

I adapted this recipe is from @StopnShop Savery magazine.  This soup is so savory from cumin and smoked paprika. It can be made vegetarian with vegetable broth.
Ingredients:
1- Butternut Squash cubed
2- 1 onion cubed
4- cloves of garlic
1-Jalapeno- quartered
3-tsp ground cumin
2-tsp smoked paprika
1 qt. vegetable or bone broth
Olive oil

1. Roast vegetables in a 400* oven 25 mins.with a few tbs. of olive oil
2. Combine the roasted vegetables, spices and broth and boil then simmer 25 mins.
3. Carefully puree the soup with an immersion blender..
(optional: garnish with croutons)
