So when it's Memorial Day I get very misty. I really think about those who lost their life serving and protecting this country, USA. This happened recently with all the press showing "wounded warriors" and green on blue murders and IUDs.
When I was younger I just Partied.

Beverages
Beer, Lemonade, Iced Tea
sweet potato chips and salsa dip
asian chicken wings and breasts
asian cole slaw
Pork spare ribs, (commercially prepared)
American potato salad
dessert:
cookie ice cream sandwiches
(buy bakery cookies, soften ice-cream: make in advance)
Don't take videos and upload them to utube, you dont want to end up at "stupidest party videos"

American Potato Salad
5 lbs of American potatoes , washed, boiled, with skins on, the night before. Peel in the morning with paring knife, it should just peel off.
Cube and combine with the ingrediants below.
6 hard boiled eggs. Put eggs in covered pan and cover with water. When water boils take the pan off the heat, still covered. Wait 20 minuets then cool off in ice water bath.(As per Martha Stewart)
4 Peppers diced small, 2 or three scallions sliced small.
1 Cup of Mayonaise ,Hellmann's with olive oil. Salt & Pepper.
Chicken Wings & cutlets w/ Miso, brown sugar, Pineapple, Rice Vinegar Marinade - garlic (powder or fresh)
Asian Slaw/ Chinese cabbage ( wiggly head) sliced thin, scallion and peppers, the long way. Dressing: Rice Vinegar, Soy sauce, Brown sugar, Peanut Butter, Veg. oil. Bring to boil and let cool. Dress just before serving.
Dessert is Bakery Cookies with Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches.
