Good meals
While working w women I always start conversation about cooking. It gets everyone going about their favorite dishes. I set the bar by explaining that when I saw my grandmothers recipe for string bean casserole on the back of a Campbell's soup can I knew I had some learning todo. I don't come from a family of " homecooking" I know how to broil a steak and cook frozen veggies.
In my twenties I worked in the reservation office of an airline staffed by many women and a few gay men. We all got along great and realized that since we had been psychologically screened for our personalities we were all easy going and friendly.
We shared our lives between calls and in the breakroom. I remember learning about how to make an Italian version of chicken soup.
Ingredients
Chicken breasts
carrots
Italian parsley well chopped
celery
potatoes- peeled and cubed
can of chopped tomatoes
curley pasta like rotini
Having only tasted my Jewish chicken soup that is heavy and yellow from the chicken parts that create that fat on the top called schmaltz, the above recipe tasted very different.
two whole chickens or 1 chicken with 2 extra backs and necks , never had it but the rumor is in the old days chicken fee were added for extra fat and color.

goodmans chicken boulion
mazta balls
or goodmans thin egg noodles
