not the best year,
after celebrating my dads 86th birthday all together march 20 my dad developed a urinary tract infection that caused him to be incontinent and have to be hospitalized and go ceptic and almost die. He went for rehabilitation at Parker Jewish. My dad had never been sick before we didnt know what to expect but he improved enough to go home with an aid. Then he needed another surgery so we decided to rehab him at Sunrise Assisted Living in East Meadow. He didnt like being there but he thrived and now he stays because of Sandy.
Super Storm Sandy hit with the fury of a lover scorned. We werent suspecting much after the hurricane was downgraded to a storm. It was the moon full of fury that made the waters come up and Oceanside became Ocean In. Waters rushed through the streets flooding our main levels with putrid seawater from the sewers.
The misery was in levels, no electricity, walls cut open, some people couldnt live in their houses. I stayed until I got too cold. I stayed for 9days with Stewie. Amanda stayed with Carol & Mark with Coco couch surfed between Paul Pliskin & Phil DPheliss friends.
Pressure on LIPA got electricity turned on and we finally were all together at home again.
